My story

Meet Monty. This 10-pound scruffy terrier is approximately 4-5 years old and is a complete love. Monty does well with other dogs and was previously fostered in a home with cats with no problems. Monty loves everyone he meets but as always, children should be old enough to respect a dog’s space. He loves to snuggle and would love to sleep with his person if allowed. He has no separation anxiety and can be trusted when left alone. Monty is house trained if he has access to a doggy door or is taken outdoors on a regular basis. Monty would make an excellent companion for someone who wants a lap buddy but he also loves walks. He walks on a leash like a champ. He prances proudly and does not bark at other dogs or people on his walk. Monty does have Cushings Disease that is well controlled with one daily pill. A monthly supply of his medication is $46 at Costco and Monty happily takes his pill with his breakfast when you place it right on top of his food. Monty’s long-term prognosis is excellent because his symptoms are well-controlled with medication, but this is a medication that he will need to take for life. Please let us know if you think Monty would be a good fit for your family!

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Monty, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
