My story

ALL ABOUT ME Name: Smith Age: 1.5 years old Gender: Male Neutered/Spayed: Yes Breed: Jindo mix Colour: Brindle Weight: 16kg/ 35lbs   MY RESCUE STORY I’m not sure how I ended up all alone on the streets—but that’s where I found myself. One day, a civilian was worried about me walking on the street all alone and reported me to the city Animal control. Shortly after, some of the city workers arrived to pick me up, and this is how I ended up spending several months in the local shelter. Since the city shelter can’t keep all the unclaimed dogs forever, I was placed on the euthanasia list with other dogs. But just in time, a warm-hearted rescuer heard this news and saved me! — on the very day I was scheduled to be put down. Now I’m safe, healing, and ready for a fresh start with someone who sees just how special I really am.   HEALTH CONDITIONS All vaccinations up-to-date 2024. October. 5th Vaccination completed 2025. April.  Additional booster completed 2024. October. Heartworm negative   MY PERSONALITY I may be a little shy at first! But if I get some treat and a little bit of time to get to know each other to feel comfortable, I’ll be leaning in for pets in no time. I love having attention and will happily approach volunteers to ask for cuddles and snacks. I’m super food-motivated and always the first in line when treats come out—just in a blink second, I’ll finish mine already! I don’t guard my food around people or other dogs, but I do tend to eat a little fast, especially when other pups are nearby.   Social Skills Kids: I haven’t met kids under 13 years old yet, but I’m sure I’ll do well with respectful and calm greetings with children. I like to get scratches from people. Once I feel safe and bonded, I’ll even show you my belly! Dogs: I am very much social butterfly! I love meeting new dog friends and enjoy playing—especially with pups around my size. Cats: I haven’t had any experience with cats yet but with slow introducing on each other, I am confident that we can be a good housemate!   Energy and Activities Energy Level: Moderate to high – I love outdoor adventures, but once I’ve had my playtime, I settle down and relax like a pro at home.   Training and Habits I walk nicely on a leash and love following my caretaker’s lead. I’m kennel trained! I know how to rest in the kennel. I do my business outside only, and don’t guard food from people or pups. That being said, I may get a little anxious around other dogs during mealtime and tend to eat fast—but who doesn’t love food, right? I sometimes alert bark at strangers and still find car rides a little scary. I need a bit of help getting in, but I hop out like a pro!   My Ideal Home I’m still a young adult, full of curiosity and potential! I’m learning every day and need a family that understands I’m a work in progress—one with patience, kindness, and a little structure to help me grow. Having a dog sibling at home would be wonderful, but I’m just as happy getting my playtime in with doggy friends during outings!   Special Notes My volunteers say I’m the cutest, most charming, and delightfully goofy boy around. I’m ready to meet my forever family—are you ready to meet me?   For More YouTube Clips, Click Here!Smith's YouTube Playlist ##2397314##
