My story

Bear is fostered in Peoria, IL.   Bear is such a wonderful dog and we're so happy he is in foster care with us.  He was given up by his owner because he was "too needy", as in he wanted too much attention.  I mean, this is an aussie trait, right?  Bear is a red tri standard male Australian Shepehrd, born 4/16/2018 and about 60 lbs.  He is a fantastic dog and such a loving soul.   Bear would prefer an adopter who is home more often than not, as his greatest joy in life is just being with his humans.  He is more of a low-key kinda guy who loves a good game of Fetch or Frisbee, but once he's done he is content to go inside and cuddle on the couch.  He loves other people and happy to greet strangers.  Bear can be a bit of a "bull in a China shop" so little kiddos might not be a good idea for this big guy.  A physically fenced yard is desired. Bear has a fascination with chasing squirrels and birds.   Bear is a total people pleaser and while he loves all the attention, he can get a little resourceful of his people, but he is excellent when verbally corrected.  Bear is crate trained, house trained, but may be a little bit of a counter surfer so, you might want to keep all your baked goods put away. Bear is great for grooming and brushing and he is excellent in the car. If you want a permanent sidekick that will even accompany you on bathroom visits, then Bear is your guy.   Bear is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and receiving monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworms.  Proof of heartworms for prior or current pets is required to adopt from our rescue.   NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org ##2379470##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt 0833 Bear, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
