My story

Iris arrived at the local shelter with a broken pelvis after possibly falling from a high place, like a tree or balcony. With an end-of-day deadline and the sweetest eyes we ever did see, we knew she was Misfit material. Iris’ road to recovery wasn’t easy, from cage rest to eventual surgery and even more cage rest. Through it all, she remained patient and sweet every step of the way. She is now fully recovered and besides the places her fur is growing back in, you would never know she had surgery! She runs, jumps and plays like any other kitten! Though she acts independent, Iris has a soft spot for chin scratches, instantly bonding with those who give her lovies. Tiny but a total foodie, Iris enjoys cuddling in blankets and safely watching the world through the window for hours. She is good with kids and other cats, going with the flow and displaying an easy personality. As she awaits her forever home, she continues to charm everyone she meets, one chin scratch at a time.
