My story

Hi! My name is Yogi and I’m at the Santa Barbara Campus. I’m a 4-month-old Male Shepherd mix who is eager for a new home! Unfortunately, I haven't had the best upbringing during the short period of time I've been alive. I was found wandering around in an empty field where I was then brought into an overcrowded shelter and then transferred to my friends here at SB Humane. You might have also noticed something different about me... I'm missing a pair of ears! A scary person cut them off while I was still a baby but despite the heinous act of ear thievery, that hasn't deterred my love for people (plus some people describe my nubs as unique)! I love meeting new friends, whether it's a human or a fellow canine friend. I'm a sweet, affectionate pup with tons of energy who will grow up to be a large boy and will benefit from an active household where my forever folks can dedicate a lot of time towards my training, socialization, and would cherish a family companion to take on daily adventures. So, what are you waiting for? I'm not getting any younger! Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first qualify basis. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.
