Meet Jenny - 90 Days into Her Next Chapter 💛Jenny is an 8-year-old Doberman-Shepherd mix with a wise, soulful gaze and a heart that's been patiently waiting for her perfect match.For the past 90 days, Jenny has been in our care-three whole months of healing, settling in, and holding out hope. She's not looking back anymore. Jenny is ready to move forward into the next part of her story, with someone who sees the beauty in a dog who's lived a little life and still has so much love to give.Found wandering along a highway near Hope, BC, Jenny came to us alone, unclaimed-but not broken. While her past is mostly unknown, her spirit remains strong, and her loyalty runs deep. She forms powerful bonds with those she trusts, offering affection, intelligence, and calm companionship in return.Jenny enjoys life's simple joys: long sniffy walks, food puzzles, and relaxing beside her person. She's the kind of dog who will be right by your side, quietly reminding you that you're not alone.Jenny does have a few needs that come with experience. She's shown some resource guarding in care-being protective around food, toys, and personal space. She communicates clearly, and in the right hands-with someone who understands body language and gives her consistency-she thrives.Jenny would love a home:Without young children, cats, or small dogsWith someone experienced in dog behaviour, especially around resource guardingWhere she's the only dog in the home-she may bark at others through barriers, and we're still assessing her openness to canine companionsJenny may need a bit of extra patience, but once she knows she's safe, she gives her whole heart.
