My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I have medical needs that staff will address with you when you meet me.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.A volunteer writes: Suki came to the Care Center with several of his cat friends after their person developed a medical condition and could no longer care for them. The change in surroundings usually makes even the sweetest cats scared and withdrawn. But Suki? Though he won't approach you first, he's still a sucker for pettings--head, body, cheeks, the works. Suki did well on his behavior exam, deemed to be mellow, shy, and sweet. This young loaf of a tabby didn't even mind being picked up, and he engaged with our team with slow blinks. Suki has been in the cat adoption room for longer than we'd like; it seems his quiet, calm demeanor has allowed him to be inadvertently passed over by potential adopters.
