My story

Eleanor—usually called Ellie—is a true gem of a cat. She was left behind in an apartment complex parking lot when her previous owners moved, and to make things harder, she was heavily pregnant at the time. All on her own, she found a safe, shaded spot to give birth and tenderly cared for her newborn kittens until a kind passerby brought the little family to safety. Street life is tough, especially for new moms, but Ellie has been nothing but sweet, trusting, and full of love since day one. Ellie is calm, affectionate, and incredibly easygoing. She’ll happily be carried around, curl up in your lap, or simply follow you from room to room with gentle devotion. She’s the kind of cat who makes a house feel like home. Her favorite activities include staying hydrated (she loves her water) and scratching with passion on her post. While Ellie eventually gets along great with other cats, she prefers to establish her own quiet space first while settling in. She’s not a fan of loud environments and may feel anxious around dogs or noisy children. She can sometimes mistake very fluffy pillows or comforters for a litter box if she’s confused or stressed, so a tidy and tight setup helps. Ellie would thrive in a calm, low-key home where she can receive focused affection, decompress fully, and be cherished for the gentle soul she is. Once she feels secure, she’ll be your loyal little shadow for life.   Ellie is up to date on vaccines including rabies, tested negative for FELV/FIV, dewormed, spayed and microchipped.
