My story

This cat is part of our shelter outreach program where we take pets from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them. They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped.  FIV/Felv negative. Irene came to us from an overcrowded NJ shelter, and we’re so glad she did! This 5-year-old stunner may be vision impaired due to corneal scarring (likely from kittenhood), but that doesn’t slow her down one bit! Irene is all about fun and lovins — she’ll happily entertain herself with toys or play with you, chirping adorably when she’s happy or excited. It’s the cutest sound you’ll hear all day!  After a good play session, Irene turns into a total lap cat. Pick her up, and she melts right into your arms — she’s silly, sweet, and affectionate through and through. She was recently spayed and is still settling in, so we’re not sure yet how she feels about other pets. But one thing is for sure: Irene adores people and would love a home where she can get all the love she deserves.
