My story

Kaiser, formerly known as Ivani (might see previous notes with that name) is a happy go lucky boy with a wagging tail and a curious spirit. Found as a stray, he’s ready to explore life with a family who loves both adventure and quiet cuddles. Kasier greets visitors with soft eyes and a gentle patience. He’s easy to leash and comes out calmly but eager to discover everything around him. Once out, he’s a whirlwind of curiosity—sniffing, exploring, and gently mouthing everything in sight, yet always soft and gentle despite his playful energy. Kaiser is a perfect hiking buddy and cuddle partner rolled into one. He engages happily with toys, especially rope and squeaky ones, enjoying a good shake and play session. He’s smart, sits politely for treats, and is wonderfully steerable on leash with just minimal to moderate pulling. This sweet, playful boy would thrive in a home ready to match his curiosity and love of companionship. Come meet Kaiser at ACCT Philly any day of the week between 10 am and 6 pm VIDEOS: Playgroup 5/13: Max Miller, Barbie, Brya, Mini Finney, Trinity, Mr Snorkel, Ivani https://youtu.be/98hNmPXV66s Playgroup 5/13: Max Miller, Barbie, Brya, Mini Finney, Mr Snorkel, Ivani https://youtu.be/g3LiTjtaayo BEHAVIOR: Playgroup 8/19: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcnvoGYrJkIbaPEIx4hW8lVpLnSbEy4-s Per volunteer 5/30: Sweet boy, nice walk. Per staff 5/26: Sweet boy! Per volunteer 5/25: So sweet, walks really nice on leash and loved being pet!! Love him! Per volunteer 5/23: Nice boy! Sweet! Pet staff 5/22: So chill. Per volunteer 5/21: Nice boy! Loved exploring the yard. Per staff 5/21: Good boy - pulls a bit. Day trip note 8/20- Kaiser was so good on his day trip! He loves food, walks, and car rides! He will try to jump in the front seat after you park the car so make sure he is secure! He knows how to sit and paw. He did want to say hi on other dogs on the walk from a far. He also likes to see the geese. Good day trip! Per volunteer 5/20: Ivani is a curious boy who loves being outside. He loved playing tug in the yard, but was content with just enjoying the nice weather! Per volunteer 5/15: Cute boy, very independent. Thought leash was a tug toy after putting back in kennel. Per staff 5/13: KENNEL PRESENTATION: Ivani had a wagging tail and soft eyes. He was at the kennel door but sat down when I opened it . He was super patient and easy to leash, coming right out once secured. LEASH SKILLS: Pulls minimally to moderately (perfect on leash). HANDLING: In the room, Ivani was super interested in everything and couldn't stand still. He sniffed everything and put everything in his mouth. He is very gentle for how rowdy he can get and allows all handling. He doesn't stay still for long but is otherwise a calm boy. He is super sweet and a joy to relax with. He takes treats very gently and will sit for them. He is super soft and a perfect hiking and cuddle buddy. PLAY: Engages in play. TOYS: Will play alone – likes rope toys and squeaky toys – shakes toys. COLOR LEVEL & ANY RECOMMENDATIONS: Gold. Per staff 5/13, playgroup: Steerable, vocal @ gate, curious, sexually motivated. Per staff 5/12: Ivani was easily distracted with food for his intake exam and needed minimal restraint. Per staff 5/12: Dog is nice, walked well on leash, a little hyper. MEDICAL: On 5/16, Ivani was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection (URI) or "doggy cold" and started on doxycycline. He tested positive for pneumovirus. On 5/23, the doxycycline was discontinued and he was prescribed clindamycin and enrofloxacin. He tested negative for pneumovirus on 5/28. On 5/14, Ivani was neutered and received an exam. He had mild tartar on his premolars, but the rest of his teeth were in really good condition. He had a sore in between the toes on his right, hind paw, so Duoxo mousse was applied to both hind paws. During his intake exam on 5/12, Ivani was bright, alert, and responsive, but stressed, friendly, chewing at back feet a lot. He weighed 50 pounds and appeared to be in good health other than having stained and worn back teeth. ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week.
