Bitsy

My story

Bitsy is estimated to be about 6 years old. She is the kind of girl that slow and steady wins the race. She has been through so much in life and we promised her a forever that can be loving and patient with her along the way. Bitsy came from a puppy mill situation. It was obvious that along with being bred for profit she also didn’t have a lot of interaction. She wants love but it does take her a little bit to open. Ensuring that she feels safe is her biggest need. Bitsy would do best in a home with a yard as sometimes leashes are scary and loud noises are unpredictable. If there are children in the home ideally they’d be older or dog savvy enough to allow her to decompress and follow her lead. She loves pets though, so she will get there you just have to let her. She is dog friendly and patient. She is lower on the lower end of energy. She does her own thing. She’s started playing with toys recently and is getting more comfortable by the day. As a girl who was from a puppy mill situation, when she came to us, was the first time that she lived in a home. For this reason when she goes to her new home, her family should be patient when she is learning a new routine and environment. Bitsy has an open adoption radius meaning she can be adopted outside of our normal radius however if selected you are required to travel to Chicago as we do not utilize transport. Her adoption fee includes up to date vaccines, her spay and recent dental, heartworm negative, up to date on preventatives and microchipped.
