Come meet adoptable dogs every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM - 4 PM at our Adoption Center located at 11116 Fairfax Station Rd. Fairfax Station, VA 22039. We can also schedule time to meet a specific dog at the Adoption Center during the week by appointment - just fill out the application and we will follow up with you! For animals in foster homes, please submit an online application and a member of our Adoptions team will reply with next steps. A very sweet and gentle pup, who has been very carrying for her puppies!! Ashambu is the smallest of the litter and a bit slower to explore, but don’t let his cautious nature fool you—he’s all heart. He finds comfort in sticking close to his sister Palani and looks to his siblings for guidance. While he’s easily spooked now, he’s expected to gain confidence as he grows. Ashambu would do best in a home with another kind and steady dog to help him feel safe and supported. Or, if you’re up for it, make it a twofer and get Palani too.   These puppies are ready for adoption JUNE 1st! We are prioritizing families available to bring them home on June 1st or that week. We do not have vacation care available. For puppies The adoption fee for this dog is $475 - $575 and includes spay/neuter and microchip. Ask me about our many adoption benefits that include free exams, pet insurance, training and other discounts! We are proud to partner with the following veterinarians who offer a free first exam for your animal, exclusively for HT adopters: Caring Hands Animal Hospital, Palisades Veterinary Clinic, Sunshine Animal Hospital and Clarendon Animal Care and all VCA Animal Hospitals. Additionally, any VCA hospital will cover illnesses up to $250 at no cost to any Homeward Trails adopter. We also provide free online workshop with a professional dog trainer at Fur-Get Me Not within the first 30 days of adopting - just for HT adopters in the Arlington/Alexandria/Falls Church/DC area. Fosters are like way stations between high kill shelters and forever homes. We need fosters so that we can save dogs before they are euthanized at the shelters.
