My story

Ah, Cambridge — the self-appointed security chief of the UK Litter. While her siblings are busy chasing leaves and living their best unbothered lives, Cambridge is posted up like a pint-sized mall cop, ready to alert everyone should something seem fishy(or the other dogs in the home start it). She takes her duties very seriously, clearly believing someone in this household has to be the responsible one. But don’t let the sass fool you—beneath all that vocal dedication is a sweet, snuggly pup who just wants you to love her as much as she loves the sound of her own voice. She’s the kind of girl who’s ready to bark first, ask questions never, and then crawl into your lap like none of it ever happened. Charming, dramatic, and constantly on high alert, Cambridge is equal parts watchdog, goofball, and certified cuddle enthusiast. Cambridge is a 6-week-old, 4lb female Mini Aussie mix and yes, she’s already practicing for a career in neighborhood watch—or Broadway, we haven’t decided. Her mama, Elizabeth, came to us heavily pregnant and blessed us with the UK Litter. No, we don’t know who the dad is. He vanished faster than your matching sock in the dryer, and based on Cambridge’s flair for the dramatic, we’re not ruling out a distant Pomeranian. Mama Lizzie weighs around 30lbs, so we’re guessing Cambridge will end up in that general weight class. Think “bag of potting soil” or “carry-on suitcase with attitude.” But listen, puppies love to keep us humble, so we’re not swearing it on a stack of dog biscuits. If the idea of her beefing up a bit past 30lbs gives you heart palpitations, this may not be your girl. But if you’re looking for a compact, fluffy security system that comes with built-in drama, excellent snuggles, and just enough attitude to keep things interesting, Cambridge is ready to move in and take charge of your living room. Cambridge plays well with her siblings—by which we mean she play-wrestles them like a tiny drill sergeant trying to whip her troops into shape. She hasn’t been officially introduced to the big dogs yet, but don’t worry, she’s already been supervising them through the fence with the intensity of a mall cop who just found a skateboarder. She’s curious, vocal, and absolutely convinced that size is irrelevant when you have enough confidence and volume. She hasn’t met any cats or small critters yet, but we can only assume she’d greet them with a bark, a dramatic pause, and a full investigation. If it moves, Cambridge has thoughts. And she’s not shy about sharing them. As for kids—she hasn’t been around any, but she’s all about being petted, snuggled, and told she’s beautiful (which, let’s be honest, she already knows). As long as the kid comes with decent boundaries and a willingness to be bossed around by a 4lb fuzzball, she’ll happily accept them into her entourage. Cambridge loves meeting new people, mostly because it gives her a new audience to impress with her vocal range. She doesn’t just greet you—she announces you. Warm, friendly, and a little dramatic, she’s always ready to charm… as long as you understand she’s probably in charge. Cambridge is operating at a constant 10/10 energy level, powered entirely by self-importance and the belief that she runs the yard—which, to be fair, she kind of does. She’s the puppy version of a wind-up toy with a strong Wi-Fi connection: always on, always moving, and always ready to alert you to the suspicious presence of, say, a breeze. Her temperament is equal parts cuddly princess and neighborhood supervisor. She’s sweet, affectionate, and fully aware that she deserves to be the center of your universe. Attention-seeking? Absolutely. Affectionate? Without question. Humble? Not a chance. She bounces when she walks, prances when she runs, and looks at you like she’s evaluating your résumé before she decides to grace you with her presence. Cambridge’s favorite activities include bossing around her siblings, dragging leaves across the terrace like she’s leading a parade, and sneak-attacking toys that dared to sit still too long. Food time is her absolute favorite, of course. She treats every meal like it’s a Michelin-star tasting menu, complete with dramatic anticipation and zero patience. Basically, if you’re looking for a quiet, mild-mannered lap dog—Cambridge is not your girl. But if you want a puppy with personality, pizzazz, and a tiny dictator’s approach to daily life? She’s already packed her imaginary clipboard. Cambridge is not potty trained. At all. She’s six weeks old and currently believes that "potty training" is something you need to figure out while she continues to relieve herself wherever inspiration strikes. If you're expecting a tiny pup who will politely request to go outside with a gentle bark and a wag—Cambridge suggests you adopt a stuffed animal instead. Crate trained? Also no. She’s still living her best life in the whelping box, surrounded by siblings and zero responsibilities. The idea of being placed in a crate will likely be met with confusion, dramatic protest, and possibly a full vocal performance. Cambridge does not do solitary confinement—she prefers a throne, thank you. Chewing is currently at a reasonable level—just the usual “exploring the world with my mouth” kind of mischief. But don’t get too comfortable. She absolutely looks like the kind of dog who will one day discover the joy of destroying something expensive and then blink at you like you left it there for her. And barking? Oh, honey. She’s not just barking—she’s announcing. Cambridge is the only one in the litter who’s taken on the role of neighborhood watchdog with pride. She’s not for someone who values peace, quiet, or stealth for 23 out of 24 hours of the day. If you're ready to welcome a 4lb hall monitor with a fluffy coat, a bossy streak, and the voice of a tiny, adorable alarm system, Cambridge is waiting to interview you for the role of "her person." Fill out an adoption application at https://www.pyrpawsandfluffytailsrescue.com/adoption-app so we can pass it along to her foster family for approval. Pickup will be in Oklahoma City, OK, but she won’t be ready to patrol your home until the first week of June. Clear your schedule. She has notes.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Cambridge, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
