BENNY

My story

Meet Benny! This playful, affectionate young pup has come a long way in just a few weeks. He’s full of energy, loves toys of all kinds, and enjoys daily bike rides or walks to help him stay calm and connected. Benny is smart, food-motivated, and thrives on routine—he’s learning to sit for attention, walk politely on leash, and settle in for couch cuddles. He’s also fully house-trained with access to a doggy door and is working on slowing down his mealtime with a puzzle bowl.Benny is friendly with other dogs and was social in shelter playgroups, though he’s had some conflicts with the foster’s resident dog. He’s very affectionate with people he knows, and while he’s a bit wary around strangers or small kids, he just needs time and space to warm up. Benny is cat-friendly, crate-averse, and still working through some separation anxiety, but he’s not destructive and redirects well when given guidance. He’s a fun, loyal companion looking for a home that can offer structure, patience, and lots of playtime.
