My story

Meet Percy! Percy is the perfect blend of adventure buddy and snuggle champion. He loves nothing more than heading out for walks and hikes—especially when his little human brother tags along! His energetic spirit shines outdoors, but once back home, he transforms into a calm and affectionate companion who simply wants to be near his people. Percy is a classic Velcro pup, deeply loyal and always happiest by your side. While he’s still working through a bit of separation anxiety, he’s making steady progress and gains confidence when he knows his humans are close. He’s wonderful with kids, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is always up for sharing water or cuddles. Percy can be a little protective of his toys and food, but with patience and loving guidance, he continues to grow more relaxed and trusting. When left alone, he’s quiet and well-behaved—he only vocalizes when confined while people are home, just because he wants to be part of the love. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and adventure-ready pup to be your constant sidekick, Percy is the one!   Ideal HomePercy’s dream home is filled with love, companionship, and daily connection. He thrives when he feels bonded to his humans and would do best with a family or individual who includes him in everyday activities—whether it's hiking trails or lounging on the couch. He’d be especially happy in a home with children, and in a household where someone is home most of the day or has a flexible schedule. A patient, calm environment where he can continue building confidence will help him flourish. A yard or access to outdoor spaces would be a huge bonus for his active side!   Percy’s Rescue StoryPercy’s journey began on the streets of Guadalajara, where he was found quietly standing outside a restaurant, watching the world go by. Though cautious, there was something soulful in his eyes. A kind rescuer returned later that evening with a leash, and Percy walked right up—as if he knew this was his moment for a fresh start. He was malnourished and covered in fleas and ticks, but after some much-needed veterinary care and love, Percy began to blossom. His sweet, playful personality emerged, and he quickly showed just how much he loves being part of a family. Now, he’s ready to find a forever home that will shower him with the love and security he’s always deserved.   Location & Adoption InfoPercy is currently in Mexico and is looking for a committed trial in the PNW.
