Emerson

My story

A volunteer writes:Emerson, a six month old kitty girl came to us with a handful of other cats and kittens, most of them a bit underweight and on the shy side. Emerson is dreaming of a home sweet home where she will feel safe, have a full belly and a place on someone's lap to grow into a most loving pet for years to come. She was so scared when she arrived at the care center and for days but lately, with time and the help of staff and volunteers, Emerson has started to come out of her shell. It takes some convincing, pep talks, treats(less important in her case) and she will slowly surrender to petting, lean, blink and even purr(see her video). One has to be patient and believe in the power of empathy and love. Indeed, these little souls go through a mill and need our understanding to thrive and be all what they can be.
