My story

Every great friendship takes time — and this handsome orange tabby is no exception. At 8 years old, he may be a little cautious at first, but give him patience and kindness, and you’ll discover one of the most rewarding bonds you’ll ever have. Once he warms up, he’s a total sweetheart — gentle, loyal, and ready to be your quiet, comforting companion. Whether you`re reading on the couch or just enjoying a peaceful evening, he’ll be right there by your side… once he knows he’s safe and loved. He may not be the first to run to the door, but he’s the kind of cat who’ll stay in your heart forever. Come meet this mellow orange boy and see if you’re the one he’s been waiting to open up to.Adoptable cats/kittens are spayed/neutered, started on core vaccines per shelter protocols, microchipped, FIV/FeLV tested, and started on monthly preventatives. Adoptions hours (no appointment needed) are M/T/W/F 10 am - 12:30 pm and 2 pm -4 pm; TH 10 am -12:30 pm and 2 pm -6:30 pm, and SAT 9 am -1 pm. To schedule an appointment outside of those hours, and/or to learn more information regarding a particular animal, please call the Feline Department at 410-848-4810 ext 822. If no one answers, please leave a detailed message with your name and phone number, and the call will be returned by end of business Monday - Friday. Adopters can prepare for their visit by being 21 years of age or older, having permission from their landlord to bring a new pet into their household, having some form of ID that shows their current address, and by bringing a suitable carrier to take their new companion home in. The adoption fee can be paid using cash, debit or credit and is based on age: Cats 1 year and younger are $75; cats 2 years to 7 years are $50; and 8 years and older are $25.
