My story

Meet Nicole! 🐾 Nicole is an adorable Blue Heeler mix puppy bursting with energy, curiosity, and potential. Like most puppies, she's entering a crucial developmental stage where training, socialization, and structure are key. She will need a patient and committed adopter who can guide her with positive reinforcement and consistent routines as she navigates her puppy phase. Nicole is highly intelligent and eager to please—traits that are common in Blue Heelers—so she’s likely to pick up new skills quickly with the right motivation. However, that same intelligence also means she’ll need mental stimulation in addition to physical activity. Long walks, puzzle toys, obedience training, and even agility could all be great outlets for her active mind and body. Expect puppy behaviors like chewing, jumping, and the occasional stubborn streak—but also expect lots of love, playful antics, and a loyal companion in the making. Nicole will thrive in a home that understands the energy and dedication her breed mix requires. A family with experience or a willingness to learn about working breeds would be ideal. A secure yard to run in or access to regular exercise will help her stay happy and balanced. If you’re looking for a smart, energetic, and affectionate pup to grow with, Nicole might be the perfect match for you! The shelter is open Tuesday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and on Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. A meet-and-greet is required for all shelter dogs 6 months and older if you already have a dog. Thank you for considering the adoption of a shelter animal in need!
