Meet Audrey, a gentle soul who’s truly coming into her own. This sweet girl is making tremendous progress in her foster home and has begun to show her charming personality. She’s found comfort and companionship in the resident dogs and especially loves cuddling up at night with a shy Yorkie foster. Audrey enjoys exploring the yard and reliably goes outside for potty breaks. At night, she happily burrows under the blankets and settles in by her foster mom’s feet—a cozy little shadow who wants to stay close. She would thrive in a home with another calm, friendly dog to help build her confidence and keep her company. If you're looking for a quiet, loving companion who bonds deeply and blossoms with time, Audrey might be your perfect match. ----- Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from Little Dog Rescue. Our dogs come from a variety of sources and backgrounds. They are all in need of adopters that have patience, an understanding of where these dogs have come from, and that there will be an adjustment time when they transition into their forever home. This can include learning basic commands, walking on leash and potty training. Some dogs will pick up on your routine and expectations faster than others. Potty accidents will happen. We find that positive reinforcement, consistency, and routine from the adopter achieves the best results. We are a small, all volunteers team and give 100% of our efforts towards doing right by these pups. We are often juggling many responsibilities at the same time and do our very best to process inquiries and applications in a timely manner. We do prioritize inquiries that have a submitted application on file through the Little Dog Rescue website. We do our best to accurately assign breed designations, however we are unable to guarantee 100% accuracy. Sometimes we only have the dogs appearance to go on. Our adoption fees are thoughtfully considered. The adoption fee is not a purchase price for the dog. It is a fee that is designed to support the overall work of our rescue. Highly desirable dogs and puppies are intentionally listed with a higher adoption fee. This is done to help offset the enormous medical expenses we incur when taking in older pups and special needs medical dogs whose adoption fees do not come close to covering their expenses. In addition, the vast majority of our dogs are brought in from out of state and incur transport fees along with their medical and acquisition costs. We ask that you take all of these things into consideration, and we look forward to finding a great match for your family.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Audrey, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
