My story

Hi my name is Tara. I’m a very sweet, affectionate girl. I love giving kisses and enjoy my belly rubs. I’m not sure of my background, but I do know I’m grateful that Peak Lab rescued me. I’m ready to be with a family that will show me love and I will return it with my kisses and sweet demeanor. I’m very friendly. I’ve been around dogs and kids. My foster family has teenagers. I get excited and tend to jump, so I will do better with older kids. I love play fighting with my foster brother who is a 75lb. 4 year old black lab mix. So I’m use to being around big dogs. We have so much fun together. Although I think he sometimes gets annoyed by my kisses. I’m crate-trained. Sometimes I whine a little, but then I settle down and sleep through the night. I’m working on being house-trained. I’m doing a lot better, but sometimes I pee a little when I get overly excited or startled. I haven’t met a cat, so I don’t know if I like them or not. I walk well on a leash. I enjoy my foster family’s fenced in backyard where I can explore, hang out and play with my foster brother. If you’re looking for a good companion then that’s me.
