My story

Meet Dane – Big Love, Bigger Purrs, and the Ultimate Couch Companion Hi! I’m Dane — a big, lovable kitty rescued in Stockton, CA, now living in a San Francisco foster home while I search for the perfect human to share my life (and the couch) with. At heart, I’m a true companion cat. I’ll follow you from room to room, nap next to you, sit on your lap (or right up against you), and be the warm, purring presence you didn’t know you were missing. I’m the kind of cat who just wants to be with you — whether we’re watching TV, working from home, or winding down for the night. Why people fall in love with me: I’m a total cuddle bug — I love curling up beside you or in your lap for pets, chin rubs, and long naps. I greet you at the door with happy chirps and soft face rubs (my love language). I’m gentle, affectionate, and super loyal — the kind of cat who becomes your shadow in the sweetest way. I’ll sit on your feet while you work and cozy up beside you the minute you settle down. I’ve got a great purrsonality: calm, curious, a little goofy, and always charming. I’m also a playful guy! I get zoomies, love chasing toy mice and wand toys, and sometimes burrow under the covers before flopping into a nap. I’ve got a whole range of silly chirps and meows, and I’m always up for a friendly chat. Bonus points: I’m food motivated but polite — I’ll wait for breakfast if you want to sleep in. I’m happy as a solo cat, but I’d likely do well with another friendly feline or even a chill dog, given a slow intro. I’m not high-maintenance — I’m just looking for someone to love, snuggle with, and keep company.
