My story

** If you are interested in adopting Hank, please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ ** Meet Hank – A sweet senior ready to retire in style! Hank is a 10 year old Miniature Dachshund, weighing just 12 lbs. Sweet, soulful Hank is searching for his second chance — a cozy, loving retirement home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by kindness and comfort. From Hank's foster: * * * * "Hank is full of love and snuggles. This gentle boy is wonderful with other dogs and snuggles his foster brothers. While Hank’s playful side comes out around cats (he thinks they want to play chase!), we recommend a home without cats—or one where he can be safely separated from them. He loves food and will do a little dance for treats. He is spry for a 10 year old! It's adorable! He does well in a crate, but prefers to sleep in bed with me. He is absolutely smitten with his stuffed teddy bear. He cuddles it like a baby and it’s his most prized possession. Just give him a soft bed, some gentle belly rubs, and his teddy, and you’ll have one very content little guy." * * * * If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion and have a whole lot of love to give, Hank might just be your perfect match. He’s ready to start his next chapter with someone who will cherish him the way he deserves. Hank has been neutered and fully vetted, including two comprehensive bloodwork panels to ensure he's in good health despite his age. We're happy to report that he's in great shape and excellent health—especially for a 12-year-old pup! Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial. Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year. If you are interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ . **PLEASE NOTE** If you're truly interested in adopting from us, please be sure to fill out our Farfel's Rescue adoption application.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hank, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
