My story

PRE-ADOPTION OPPORTUNITY: Snickers will be ready for adoption late May 2025 (pending neuter surgery). Meet Snickers – the soft-hearted shadow with the sweetest eyes. Snickers may be a little shy at first, but once he bonds with you, you’ll never be alone again—in the best way possible. This beautiful grey tabby boy is equal parts sensitive soul and curious sidekick, and he’s looking for a special someone to show him extra love to help him warm up. More photos & videos of Snickers: https://bit.ly/KyFosterKittens SNICKERS’ STORY: Snickers and his five siblings are survivors of the flooding we experienced earlier in 2025. A family was evacuating their home and heard them crying, desperate and alone. They looked for mama cat but never found her. The kind people scooped them up and brought them to the Humane Society of Oldham County. These bundles of joy act like they know they were rescued, because from day one they were grateful and happy to be in foster care! SNICKERS’ PERSONALITY: Don’t let his occasional cautiousness fool you—Snickers wants to be brave. He’s curious, talkative, and insists on being involved in whatever you’re doing… he just sometimes needs a moment (or a lap!) to build up his courage. Once he feels secure, he’s all in: snuggling up close, purring deeply, and following you from room to room like your tiny, striped shadow. His clinginess is a result of some separation anxiety (from losing his mother so young), so he’ll do best in a home where someone is around often. In return, you’ll get a cat who loves you endlessly. He’s got strikingly beautiful eyes and a stunning grey-tabby coat that only adds to his soulful vibe. He enjoys tunnel play, gentle pets, and chatting with you when he needs reassurance—or just wants your attention. He has grown up with cats and MUST have a Forever Family with a kitty companion to call his friend. Out of respect for the Resident Kitty (kitties), we strongly recommend a cat companion that is less than 7-8 years old to best acclimate to the kitten pep. Snickers will need a little bit of time to adjust in a new environment, but once he does, the connection you build will be incredibly rewarding. He’ll be neutered in late May 2025. He is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV and FeLV.
