My story

Meet Bagel! Bagel is a 4 year old Beagle/Chihuahua mix who was pulled as part of “Angel Retreat’s ACCT’s of love” program. Bagel originally came in as a stray, after someone found him in Philadelphia. We do not know his past, but we do know he is nervous at this time, but slowly learning to trust new people. He has made friends with one of our senior dogs, as we give him time to decompress and learn he is safe. We are confident he will thrive with a family with patience and love to give! As with all rescue dogs, they will need a family who is understanding and prepared to work through a period of transition with them as they learn to live in a house and around people. They will need time to trust their new family before working on training, such as house training. We require all our animals to be trained using positive reinforcement methods ONLY.
