My story

Katie is a spunky, energetic young dog with some lifelong medical challenges, but plenty of love to give. She’s hoping for a special adopter who’s ready to embrace her quirks and help her continue to thrive. while In foster care for several months, Katie has made great progress. She needs time to decompress in new environments and relies on her crate as a safe space. With patience and routine, she blossoms. Katie has "fly bite" seizures and compulsive left-side circling, both managed with medication. Her comfort and stability improve as she settles into routine. A fenced yard would be ideal for Katie to burn off her abundant energy—she loves to run, play fetch, and enjoy the outdoors in any weather! She gets along with dogs of all sizes but tends to play rough. She adores kids but needs reminders about her size. Katie is food-motivated and learning basic commands. She loves toys (especially crinkly ones) and bones, though she can be a bit protective of her food and high-value treats—something she’s working on. With the right home, Katie will continue to grow into the wonderful companion she’s meant to be. Could you be the one she’s waiting for?
