My story

Meet Jelly Roll! This adorable gentle bear has quickly stolen our hearts. Jelly Roll is an easy-going, sweet-natured boy who gets along well with other rescue pets and doesn’t stir up any trouble. He’s crate and leash trained, and he’s incredibly gentle when taking treats from your hand. This big boy recently completed heartworm treatment and is on the road to full health.  He enjoys relaxing outside on nice days and keeps himself entertained. He’s also an excellent car rider and would love a family that enjoys daily walks to help him stay in shape. The ideal home for Jelly Roll would have a privacy fence and help him continue building confidence. Due to his size, he’d do best in a home with older kids. We haven’t tested him with cats yet. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-maintenance companion who just needs a little encouragement to blossom, Jelly Roll might be your perfect match! All of the animals with Spring Branch Rescue are currently located in Houston with foster parents. They are decompressing & socializing thanks to our amazing foster parent team.  They leave Houston once adopted.  You are seeing our posts because we have foster or a transport location within 250 mile radius from your address.  Unfortunately we cannot offer meet & greets at this time as our pets arrive already adopted and going home with new adopters. Our adoption fee includes transport; all age required shots, microchip, & a health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. We look forward to receiving your application! We will review it shortly and give you a call to set up a phone interview.  We are thrilled to offer transport services every 3 weeks from Houston to the Pacific Northwest, the Midwest, and the East Coast, ensuring that these incredible pets can find their way to you no matter where you are. This makes the adoption process smooth and convenient, allowing you to focus on welcoming your new family member with open arms. Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wandering our streets.
