My story

Meet Rome, a truly special soul with a heart as big as his cuddles. This sweet, oversized lap dog may be blind, but that doesn’t slow him down—he’s incredibly loving, gentle, and full of personality. Rome has been a cherished family companion since he was just four weeks old, growing up alongside children and even a newborn baby, always showing the utmost tenderness and care. He knows all his basic commands, enjoys baths, and thrives in a calm home environment where he can soak up affection and return it tenfold. Rome loves meeting new people and adores being the center of attention—he’ll happily greet guests with tail wags and nuzzles. Despite his blindness and a few manageable allergy-related conditions, Rome is low-maintenance in the best ways—he’s house-trained, non-destructive when left alone, and does great with a predictable routine. He may be a bit shy around new dogs due to a past incident, but once he feels safe, he warms up beautifully. Rome doesn’t care much for toys, but he lives for cuddles and companionship. He has a gift for sensing emotions and offers comfort with quiet loyalty—truly a natural support dog. With his gentle spirit, silly sense of humor, and boundless capacity for love, Rome will bring warmth and joy to the lucky person or family who opens their heart to him.
