My story

Meet Ellis!!! Ellis came to us when she was found as a stray on the streets of Detroit. She was picked up by animal control where she landed in a VERY overcrowded shelter. We had a wonderful foster family step up for her and the swooped her to safety. She has been doing great in her foster home and is now ready to find her furever family! We estimate Ellis to be approx. 7 years old. She is pint sized girl, only weighing 37 lbs. She is spayed, UTD on vaccines and microchipped. Ellis is currently living with cats, she tolerates them, but if they get in her space she can be reactive. So we suggest dog savvy cats only for Miss Ellis. Ellis LOVES other dogs and has even met horses! Ellis is a couch potato, while she would love to tag along on your adventure and go for 30 minute walks, she truly just enjoys relaxing and cuddling with her people. She rides GREAT in the car which makes her a perfect traveling partner. She can be a bit timid when men come into the house but with proper introductions she warms up with time. On walks she does great with strangers, we truly think she is just protecting her people and home when she is unsure with strangers coming in the home. Ellis is SUPER smart and has already mastered sit, paw, lay down, come, and stay.
