Meet Cherokee! Your Next Best Friend! Cherokee is a beautiful 2 year old Terrier/American Pit Bull mix who came into the care of HSSM on May 7th, 2025, through no fault of her own. After being surrendered by her previous owner, Cherokee has quickly stolen our hearts with her gentle nature and sweet soul. Though she may come across as a bit shy at first, it doesn’t take long to see the playful, affectionate, and fun-loving girl underneath. Cherokee is the kind of companion who just needs a little time to trust, and once she does, you’ll have a loyal, snuggly sidekick for life! She absolutely thrives with other dogs, enjoying both playful romps and cozy cuddle sessions. Cherokee also shines on her daily walks! She’s a dream on a leash and would love a family who enjoys peaceful strolls through the neighborhood or sunny outdoor adventures. Cherokee is fully vetted, up to date on vaccines, will be spayed upon adoption, and is heartworm negative, healthy, and ready for her forever home! Don’t let this special girl wait another day.
