My story

Meet Ferrero, a 2-year-old sweetheart who’s ready to melt your heart like his chocolatey namesake! Found as a stray with another dog, Ferrero hasn’t let shelter life bring him down—he’s stayed friendly, upbeat, and full of charm. He recently spent the day out of the shelter and showed off what an incredible companion he can be! Ferrero rode like a pro in the backseat, strolled calmly on a shaded trail, and was the perfect gentleman when passing runners and bikers. Even when two full school buses of children arrived at the park, Ferrero simply laid down and watched them quietly go by—he didn’t bark once all day! After some fun exploring (yes, including sticking half his body into bushes for maximum sniffing), he went home for a cozy nap, cuddled up with a stuffy in his paws. He absolutely loves belly rubs, stuffies, and being near his people.Ferrero is making the best of shelter life, but what he really wants is a forever home where he can be the “bestest boy” every single day. Come meet him and see just how sweet life with Ferrero can be! Ferrero would love to meet any potential canine siblings! Our staff will carefully handle all dog-to-dog introductions at the shelter to ensure a great match. Feel free to bring your pup along when you come to meet him! Here`s what another individual said about their Dog Day Out (a break from the shelter), `Ferraro was an absolute sweetheart!!! He has such a bright, loving, fun and unique personality that he is not afraid to let show. I took him for a car ride, which he loved (got in the car no problem!) and stuck his head out of the windows the whole time. I also took him to two different trails, and we went for some long walks! He is a great walker and listener and does very well passing other dogs and people/children. He didn’t bark at all! He was eager to greet anyone on the path. He definitely gets tired after walking for a little; he laid down in the car on the way back. We sat in the sun at a picnic table and he immediately got the zoomies and started rolling and running around, encouraging me to join him. He can fetch and he knows the command sit!! I was given a bag of treats, and while giving them, he was so so gentle with me every single time. You should absolutely adopt Ferraro because he is truly such a gentle loving and fun dog. He is calm but can be playful and energetic! He is such a sweet boy and would be a great best friend.`He has been neutered, microchipped and up to date o

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ferrero, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
