My story

Liberty was surrendered with her friend Rover to rural Illinois animal control. They are reported to be Basset Hound/Shepherd mixes. Liberty appears to be a sweet and friendly girl that has good manners and walks well on a leash. She is estimated to be 3 years old and weighs 58 pounds. Sadly, upon intake, Liberty and Rover both tested heartworm positive so will need to undergo heartworm treatment prior to adoption. Liberty also has "cherry eye" that will need to be repaired prior to adoption. Preference will be given to families that adopt Liberty and Rover together. They arrived in late July and have an estimated 6-8 weeks of medical treatment ahead of them prior to being released for adoption.
