Minnie

My story

Minnie is a 1–1.5-year-old tan German Shepherd (around 60 lbs) with a shy heart and a quiet spirit. Found alone in the desert, she’s still learning that people can be safe. She’s nervous around strangers, avoids loud voices, and prefers to hang back—but with patience, she blossoms. She’s fully crate and house trained, and though she’s still getting used to leash walks, she follows calmly behind. Minnie gets along with gentle dogs and finds comfort in quiet routines. One night, after weeks of keeping her distance, Minnie climbed into bed and curled up beside her foster dad. Since then, she’s chosen closeness over fear—on her terms, in her time. Minnie will need a calm home, no small kids, and someone who values quiet connection. She’s also a jumper, so a secure yard or committed leash walks are a must.
