My story

Once upon a time (ok, about a year ago), Draco was a sick, skinny puppy -- hairless, covered in fleas and ticks, and hanging on by a thread. But one kind woman, armed with a big heart and a vet’s number on speed dial, brought him back to life. She dressed him in sweaters (because bald puppies get cold), fed him love and good food, and watched him transform into the fabulous, freckled fellow you see today.Draco became her joy, her shadow, her partner in couch-sitting and ambling walks. But recently, life dealt her family a rough hand -- two of her children were diagnosed with serious medical conditions, and the road ahead is full of doctor’s visits and treatments. As much as it broke her heart, she knew Draco deserved more than being left at home, confused and waiting.So she made the most selfless choice a dog mom can make: she brought Draco to us so we could help him start the next chapter of his life.Draco is housetrained, neutered, and full of gentle energy, ready for hiking trails, backyard games, or long naps with a human who understands just how special he is. He’s already been someone’s everything. Now, he’s waiting to be yours.Draco would love to show you his handsome, 65-pound self at Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Road, Hampton.Visiting hours are 9am to noon, daily, including weekends & holidays.Interested?
