My story
Rufus is a big, endearing 2-year-old dog who originally came to us as a stray. This sweet boy has been a favorite with our volunteers who take him on field trips, as he loves to spend time with people, eat snacks and relax with a stick to chew on. In his time at the shelter, we have seen him become a bit more reactive to other dogs on leash or in the kennels, but he has also made a couple of dog friends with slower introductions, too! Our vet team also found that Rufus has hip dysplasia after we noticed some pain responses around his hind end, he will need to continue with the pain medication he is on in his new home. Come meet Rufus at the shelter Wed-Sun from 1-6pm, or give us a call to learn more about him!
