What my friends at ACC say about me:I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.Beemo has made significant improvement since his last assessment, and while he's grabby and doesn't appreciate his back being touched, he can be pet on his head-at least while eating squeeze-up treats. He remains fairly calm but needs a slow approach.Beemo tolerates attention and petting but appears fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.A volunteer writes: Before Beemo came to the Care Center, he had it all: a home with many rooms and a big window, plenty of toys, and an understanding owner who loved how cuddly and loving he could be while also having an independent side. But through no fault of his own, Beemo is now with us, and the adjustment to shelter life has been tough for this gorgeous black beauty. Slowly he's been opening up and stretching his boundaries, but it's hard for sensitive souls like Beemo who have had the comfy life they knew upended. If you're looking for a loyal pal with a stellar resume as an affectionate, well-behaved house cat, please don't overlook our boy Beemo. We just know there's a true forever home for him out there.
