My story

Meet Rank – A Striking, Spirited Border Collie Mix Ready to Work and Learn Rank is a 3.5-year-old border collie mix with a gorgeous tail, eye-catching markings, and a mind that’s always in motion. True to his breed, Rank is intelligent, athletic, and bursting with energy—but he’s also a complex pup who will thrive only with the right structure, guidance, and purpose. Rank has a strong prey drive and is unlikely to be a safe match for cats or small pets. He can become overstimulated in new or exciting environments and has been known to get a bit mouthy when overwhelmed. However, with a patient, compassionate, and experienced owner who understands high-drive working breeds, Rank has the potential to be an incredible companion. He’s shown promise in early doggie playgroups and may do well with another dog, provided it’s the right match. Walks are a full-on adventure for Rank—his curiosity pulls him in all directions, but we’re working on helping him learn to focus and take cues from his handler. What he needs most is a job, consistent training, and plenty of mental and physical outlets to channel his talents. Rank isn’t the dog for everyone—but for someone who loves the challenge and reward of working with a brilliant, high-energy dog, he might just be the perfect partner. ##2381821##
