Medium in size and rich in life experience, Dakota came to us on May 7, 2025, alongside her younger companion, Savannah. The two share a familiar bond that brings comfort and stability to both of them. Dakota is a true senior sweetheart—more laid-back than her energetic housemate, and happiest in quiet, peaceful environments. Though she can be a bit timid when meeting new people, she warms up beautifully with a little time and patience. Recently, we discovered she may have once been called Sapphire, and she still responds fondly to that name—just one more piece of her past that adds to her charm. She seems to take great comfort in Savannah’s presence, and the pair would love to stay together if possible, though Dakota could also thrive in a calm home with a gentle routine and loving companionship. With her soft eyes, sweet nature, and years of wisdom, Dakota is ready for a second chance at a forever home—one that understands the quiet joys a senior dog brings. Could she be your perfect match?
