Name:   Rupert      Best Guess for Breed:   Chihuahua and Jack Russell mix  Best Guess for Age:   5 years as of May 2025      SEX:    Male   Approximate Weight:   18 lbs   Gets Along With:  Other dogs!  We haven't seen him with cats or kids but we are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters!   Currently Living at:   South Carolina shelter - Rupert needs a foster or adopter to make his way to the DC area   Special adoption considerations:    Rupert has bilateral cherry eyes which will be addressed before he arrives in DC.   Rupert is Looking For:    Looking for a little dog with a big personality? With his charming black and white coat, expressive eyes, and perky ears, Rupert is as handsome as he is lovable! Rupert is the perfect mix of playful and snuggly. He enjoys walks and curling up next to you for a nap. Rupert does well with people and could thrive as the only dog or with a calm canine companion. He's up to date on vaccines, and ready for his forever home. Rupert would do best in a home where he can get plenty of attention, gentle leadership, and a comfy spot on the couch.
