What my friends at ACC say about me:I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I am looking for a home with a patient person.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I will flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home. The staff think I would do best in a home where there are no dogs.I would do best in a home with only adult humans.A volunteer writes: There's a note on Simba's condo explaining that he loves squeeze up treats and thank goodness for this as adding to his list of likes at the shelter has left us scratching our heads. We've tried pets, and though he'll accept some, Simba probably won't come out and ask for them. He's returned our offers of other treats by ignoring them and nothing from our vast catalogue of toys seems to hold his interest. That's ok because squeeze up delicacies are enough for Simba to momentarily reconsider his stance on shelter life, pop his head out from his den, and give us a chance to admire his stunning beauty. Though Simba has preferred his den at the Care Center, we've heard that he's a chatty and playful little guy. We've learned he plays fetch with his toys and loves bounding after bugs. His previous family described him as friendly and outgoing with other cats and affectionate with people. The caveat here is that Simba needs a little extra time to warm up and shelter life hasn't really given him that yet. We know that a patient and loving family will be just the thing for Simba. Another volunteer writes(6/2/25):Simba has been a "cubby cat" at the care center, remaining most of the time in his "bedroom". He is absolutely gorgeous with his Delpht's blue eyes. As he loves treats, he comes forward to eat them and quite eagerly. He has remained very shy with petting but for the first time, today as he had migrated to a comfort box, I saw him play with a featherwand I held for him. Play is often the beginning of a relationship and may be, Simba will start opening up to us. We know, by history, that he can be a very playful and affectionate pet!
