My story

Rollie deserves a fresh start. In April, he was found tied to a broken-down fence, left with empty bowls—no one in sight to fill them. Tangled so badly he couldn’t even reach them, he eventually managed to wiggle free from his collar. But even then, he stayed put—scared and exhausted—for two long days until a compassionate local rescuer got the call. Without hesitation, she stepped in, just as she always does. That moment marked the beginning of Rollie’s journey to HSOC, where he’s now holding out hope for a life filled with love and luck. Despite all he’s been through, Rollie loves with his whole heart. His favorite thing is to nuzzle his head into your lap, soaking up every ounce of affection you offer. His resilience and capacity for love are nothing short of inspiring. Rollie is a 51-pound mixed breed with striking light-colored eyes that are full of soul. He is dog selective, so he’ll either need to be the only dog in the home or meet any potential dog siblings in advance. He’s enjoyed playing with several dogs at our office, so a good match is possible! Rollie also needs an adult-only home where he can feel safe and secure. Now is Rollie’s time. He’s ready to leave the past behind and begin his new life—with you.
