Meet Trex: The Mellow Gentleman with a Heart of Gold 🦖❤️ If you’re searching for a calm, well-mannered companion who brings a quiet joy wherever he goes, look no further than Trex — a lovable, easygoing guy who’s equal parts chill and charming. Trex is the kind of dog who makes everything feel a little lighter. Whether he’s hopping into the car (all by himself like a pro!) or soaking up attention with a polite sit and soft eyes, he’s got those refined gentleman vibes down to a science. This mellow dude isn’t one for drama — he’s polite to people, relaxed around dogs, and even showed interest in playing with a few. At one point, an overly vocal pup at PetSmart barked nonstop at him, and Trex turned around with a look like, “Really, bro?” 😂 He’s got the social skills of a saint. Trex enjoys the little things in life: a slow chase after a tennis ball, a peaceful stroll through a sunflower patch, or wading through a pool with all the time in the world. At Home Depot, he got a bit more curious and pulled slightly more — probably just eager to greet the humans around him! He rides well in the car, though he does want to be your co-pilot and might try to climb up front — a gentle reminder to buckle him in will keep everyone safe. Bath time? No problem! Trex soaked up the suds and adored the rubber brush, then got the zoomies after and rolled around like a happy pup. Food? Yes, please. Trex is happy to take any treat with the softest mouth and most grateful expression. Trex isn’t flashy or loud — he’s calm, sweet, and just so nice to be around. He’s the kind of dog who reminds you to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy the ride. If you’re ready for a peaceful, loyal best friend with a gentle soul, Trex is waiting for you. Come meet this mellow sweetheart and feel the joy he brings. 🐾 As always, we strongly recommend bringing any resident dogs to the shelter for a meet and greet with potential new family members to be sure it's a good match. If bringing a dog for a meet and greet, please bring proof of up to date rabies, bordetella, and DHPP vaccines. To meet your future pet, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
