My story

Mandatory in person transfer date: April 26th at the Petsmart in Tysons Corner between 10:00 AM-11:00 AM. All adopters must attend in order to finalize the adoption. About Nitro Meet Nitro, an intelligent, affectionate, and curious small breed pup ready for his forever home. At just 4.5 months old, he’s already showing his quick learning skills and love for structure. Nitro thrives on routine, which helps him feel secure and prevents potty accidents that can happen with overstimulation or unpredictable environments. He’s highly treat-motivated, eager to please, and wonderfully adaptable to his surroundings — Nitro will mirror your energy! When you’re calm and quiet, with a bit of TV in the background, he’s calm and quiet too. He’s already comfortable with everyday household sounds like the dishwasher, vacuum, laundry, and even ambulance sirens at night, so he settles easily with typical background noise. Nitro gets curious and happy when people or other dogs walk by, often wagging his tail enthusiastically, and is growing more confident every day. He loves watching cars go by, following trail meals of kibble, and won’t miss an opportunity to test his escape skills from makeshift playpens! Playful yet gentle, with a fondness for cuddles and exploration, Nitro is also learning to self-soothe and settle during crate time, though he may occasionally voice his puppy opinions. Nitro would do wonderfully in a home that can offer him consistent guidance, loving attention, and plenty of mental stimulation — from puzzle toys to future maze or escape challenges — as he grows into the loyal, clever companion he’s meant to be.   ##2357321##
