My story

WEACT rushed to Gimcheon after receiving a report about a dog wandering with a snare trap caught around him. Unexpectedly, alongside the #StrayDogCaughtInSnare, we encountered another dog — a friend who had been traveling with him, #weact_mika, and her four puppies. At just about one year old, Mika had become a mother and was surviving on the streets. After the rescue, Mika underwent emergency surgery due to severe bleeding from pyometra. Despite her frail condition, Mika’s strong maternal instincts allowed her to protect her puppies. Now, having barely passed her first birthday, Mika is ready to start a new life — not as a struggling mother, but as a beloved young dog.
