My story

Are you looking for that perfect farm dog? If so, Annie would like to apply! If that home also came with children, she would be over the moon! Annie is just the sweetest all-around great pup. She likes everyone she meets. When she was at the vets the other day she had to stop great all the veterinary staff. However, she is not a "cuddle bug" or "needy" kind of dog. She would rather been in your proximity than lying on your feet. Annie is presently living in a home with 10 other dogs that range in size from 6 pounds to 80 pounds and is good with all of them. However, she is fearful and defensive with dogs she does not know, but it does not take long for her to warm up and begin playing. For this reason she would not be a good candidate for dog parks. But then, we don’t favor dog parks anyway. She is fine with dog savvy cats, but sure would like it if they play with her. Annie loves to run and play in the water and chase ground squirrels. She is okay on the leash, but she has such great recall that leash work isn’t necessary in her foster home. Annie is good in her crate for feeding time and sleeping. She has no trouble sleeping through the night and potty training is going very well with and without a doggy door. She has been left alone in the house with another dog for short periods of time and has not been destructive. She has a favorite old towel that she likes to chew on but hasn’t chewed anything up (Bet she would love her very own “unstuffed” stuffy). She will alert bark, but settles quickly when her foster lets her know all is ok. Annie’s birthdate is November 13, 2024. As of 7 months of age she weighed 38 pounds. She appears to be a classic cattle dog mix. Annie is presently being fostered in Southeastern Oregon. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Annie’s adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in adopting Annie and are pre-approved, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com. If you are not already approved, you can fill out an application here: http://herduneededahome.com/adopt-a-dog

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Annie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
