My story

Meet HARVEY, the newest senior sweetheart to join the WCRAS family! At 8 years young and 63 lbs, Harvey is a gentle soul with a soft heart and a love for beef liver treats. Our volunteers describe him as sweet and easygoing. In the play yard, he enjoys wandering and exploring at his own pace, always circling back every few minutes for a tasty snack and a little attention. While he’s still adjusting to the shelter environment, we’re confident it won’t be long before we see his smile and that tail starts wagging non-stopHarvey is patiently waiting for his forever family to find him. Come meet this wonderful boy today—you just might be the one to make his heart feel at home again.The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilco.org. Interested in fostering a dog in need? You can take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours, giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time.
