My story

Boom clap, the sound of my heart. The beat goes on and on and on and on and…! Yeah, this boy is sure to make your heart skip a beat or two. Boomer is the most handsome Heeler mix with so much love to give. Found by Atascosa County Animal Control with no chip or collar, he is lost without a home and searching for a fresh start. We think Boomer may have been owned at one point because he seems to know basic commands like sit and stay. He is also potty trained, crate trained, and always eager to join in on leashed walks around the neighborhood. Boomer is just two years old, so he’s well past the puppy stage, but he still has plenty of exuberance that is typical of the Australian Cattle Dog breed. He would do well in a household that can offer him plenty of outlets for his boundless, fun-loving energy. Whether that is plenty of playtime with other pets, trips to doggy daycare, or zoomies in the yard with his toys, Boomer will be happiest with a family that honors his lust for life.
