What my friends at ACC say about me:I can go home today! My history is a mystery and my friends here do not know much about me yet!I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!I am a cat that is in need of a lap! I can't wait to be your new lap cat.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I have lived with cats at ACC and I'm doing well with them in the Free Roaming Room, so I would likely do well in a multi-cat home.A volunteer writes: Ducky is as cute as his name. Through my interactions, I found him to be both reserved and gentle. He preferred to stay in the comfort of his box yet still was brave enough to stick his head out for some head, neck and chin scratches while remaining in the comfort of his box. He enjoyed to watch everything that goes on in the adoption center from his penthouse suite filled with toys and perches as well as other kitties to spend time with. Another thing about Ducky is that he loved the treats that I gave him and a secret between us I didn't give him one treat, I gave him a handful. We can't wait to help Ducky continue to build his confidence and come out of his shell more.Ducky was on the shelf, lying quietly and appearing calm. He immediately enjoyed petting, leaning in hard for cheek rubs and even rubbing his mouth against the assessor's hand. He sniffed the treats and allowed petting along his back, and was slowly coaxed down off the shelf by the assessor using his hands and the promise of more petting. He tolerated being picked up, and after being set back down, he climbed back onto the shelf and sniffed around the room. Then he went into the cubby, where he relaxed, staring out. He's a sweet cat.Ducky interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience who demonstrates a basic understanding of typical cat behavior. Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 14.2 Age: 7yrs 0mths 3wks
