My story

Meet Charlotte – The Snuggle Specialist who says “Lap Time is Mandatory!"  Charlotte is a quiet, gentle, and incredibly loving kitty who wants nothing more than to be by your side—or better yet, in your lap! She is the definition of an affectionate lap cat who never gets tired of pets and cuddles. If you dare to stop petting her, she’ll politely remind you with a gentle paw on your arm and a sweet, adoring gaze that will melt your heart. Charlotte is a true survivor—she had a tough start in life, overcoming an aggressive virus as a baby. As a result, she has a chronic teary right eye from multiple upper respiratory infections in kittenhood, but it doesn’t bother her at all! It only adds to her charm and uniqueness. Charlotte would thrive in a calm and quiet home where she can feel safe and relaxed. She has lived with other cats before and would love some feline friends to keep her company. She would also do well with gentle, slightly older children who respect her boundaries. Charlotte is on the needy side when it comes to affection—she wants to be with her people as much as possible and will soak up every bit of love and attention she can get! She does require a little extra care in the form of a daily dose of stool softener, but it’s tasteless and odorless so it can be easily mixed into her food.  Charlotte’s adopters should also be aware that they will need to keep an eye on her...eye (no pun intended). If Charlotte catches something like a common cold or an upper respiratory infection it will make her leaky eye worse and causes her discomfort and skin irritation. Unfortunately, she is more susceptible to recurring upper respiratory infections. Luckily, it’s an easy thing to recognize and it's easy to treat with a simple round of antibiotics! So, her forever family will just need to make sure she stays healthy and that they are proactive about treating any potential illnesses. While Charlotte enjoys a little playtime—especially batting around small toys or chasing ribbons—her favorite activities are much more relaxed. She loves snuggling up next to her people, curling up in a warm lap, lounging on her window perch, and watching cat TV. But what makes Charlotte truly special is the way she expresses gratitude. When she looks up at you, you can tell she knows she’s safe and loved, and she couldn’t be more thankful. She even likes to gently caress her favorite humans’ faces with her paw—claws in, of course!  If you’re looking for an endlessly affectionate, deeply loving companion who will always remind you how much she adores you, Charlotte is your girl!
