While he previously lived with both a dog and a cat, a busy home with young children wasn’t the right match for this chill guy — so now he’s searching for a calm, cozy home where he can truly thrive. Chester is the definition of mellow. He’s a pro at “Netflix and chill,” a loyal bird-watching buddy, and a lover of car rides. He knows his basics (sit, stay!) and is super treat-motivated, which makes continued training a breeze. Why are we posting urgently? Chester’s current foster pup is a little too high-energy for his taste, and we’re looking to move him into a better fit by the end of this week — either a new foster or an adopter who’s ready to fall in love. We’re often asked why we don’t help more local dogs — Chester is proof that we do. He’s a hometown boy who just needs a calm space and someone to love him for who he is.
