MUMU NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!   Come meet Mumu and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (06/15) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Falls Church, VA (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!     Name:  Mumu            Best Guess for Breed:  Beagle mix   Best Guess for Age:    7 months as of May 2025            SEX:   Female   Estimated Weight:    21.6 lbs as of 5/25/25 - she is still growing!   Gets Along With:   Mumu does well with other dogs! We haven't seen her with kids or cats but are happy to discuss integration techniques with any potential adopters.    Currently Living at:  DC area foster home   Special Adoption Considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. She has too many amazing qualities to count, but the first one on the list is her amazing, velvety soft fur! Next up is her ladylike play style. She loves playing with other dogs and takes a submissive role, listening to other dogs when they don’t want to play anymore. She likes to bounce around with her pals and definitely thrives off doggie attention. She also does well in a crate and will settle down quietly after about five minutes. She takes food and treats gently and is a very easy dog to walk on the leash. Sometimes walks can be a little too long for her, and she enjoys laying down and resting in the grass- watching the sights around her. She will get nervous from time to time with strangers and when people approach on the sidewalk, but she likes to just sit down and look at them and doesn’t try to run away. She is making great progress with potty training and is highly food motivated, so she should be very trainable. She loves to play in the house, entertaining herself by picking up toys and trotting from room to room. She’s a quiet, beautiful, smart girl who’s at the perfect age to transition into family life!  Mumu is Looking For:     Hola! I'm Mumu and I spent the first seven months of my life on Puerto Rico. It was nice and warm and all that but ya know, it's a small island and I want to see the world! The DC area sounded like a great place to do that! I'm looking for my own humans for walks and romps in parks and all those adventures! And I want to make pup pals along the way! And I want snuggles and cuddles too!  Most of all, though, I want to know where I belong, to always be safe and loved. What do you say? Do I get to grow up with you?
